Bay FC have made a splash, signing forward Alex Pfeiffer to a three-year contract.

Pfeiffer, who has spent the past two seasons with the Kansas City Current, was the youngest goal-scorer in NWSL history until the record was broken by KK Ream. She scored in her debut on March 16, 2024 against the Portland Thorns at just 16 years of age.

It was announced on December 24, 2025, that the Current and Pfeiffer had agreed to mutually terminate her contract which allowed her to sign with Bay FC as a free agent.

During her time with the Current, Pfeiffer played ten games in her rookie season, scoring on her only shot, before suffering a season-ending ACL tear. She returned to the pitch in July 2025, but only saw action in five games with Kansas City, failing to appear on the scoresheet during that time.

Quote of the week

“To win the tournament, and to experience the NCAA tournament, that’s top of my bucket list right now. That would just be so exciting, so exhilarating. I cannot wait. It being at home, we all know it’s possible. We all know that we can do it. There’s no doubt in our minds that we’re going to come out in this tournament guns blazing and get after these games because we’re all confident that this tournament is ours.”
